USD250 cancels school Thursday and Friday
The USD250 district Superintendent, Richard Proffitt, sent an email to all faculty and staff today, Jan. 12, cancelling school from Thursday, Jan. 13 to Friday, Jan. 14 due to Covid concerns. No school work will be administered during this time and no online learning format will be utilized. Students will resume on-site learning on Tuesday, Jan. 18th, after Martin Luther King Day.
Any students who participate in extracurricular activities outside of school will “need to continue to Test to play (if already in the testing program) to be eligible for participation),” Proffitt said. The district testing center will continue to stay open throughout the cancellation.
Extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled but masks will be required at all events.
