Surrounded by his art and drawing utensils, junior Jorge Leyva holds up one of his favorite paintings of a geometric elephant. “It was my first time using palette knives, so I was excited, happy and didn’t know what to expect,” Leyva said. “The background adds interest, the grey makes the gold stand out and I’m how about the way the elephant looks.”

Junior Jorge Leyva rarely goes a day without painting, sculpting, sketching or drawing.
