“This is my 2nd year at PHS. I teach Dragon Den and Resource English 9. I like getting to work one-on-one and in small groups with my students in all of my classes. I like that I have a role in ensuring they gain the skills they need during and after high school to be successful adults. My favorite unit I get to teach throughout the year is the book “Night” with my 9th grade English class. This is a memoir from a Holocaust survivor, describing his life and experience in the concentration camps. I like teaching this unit because I think it is a good opportunity for me and my students to practice having respectful conversations about topics that are maybe difficult, but important, to discuss.”
