“This is my 10th year teaching at PHS. I teach Marching Band, Concert Band, String Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Remote Band/Orchestra. I am fortunate to have 3 very unique classes to teach, each having their own highlights and challenges. There is no way that I could choose a favorite class that I teach. I love the energy and engagement of marching band. I love the high level music teaching and creating in string orchestra and concert band, and I love the history, style and creativity of jazz. Every class is great! My favorite moments of teaching are when we are commissioning new works for our ensembles. New music excites me and challenges me. It is so fun to share the experience of premiering completely new works with our ensembles.”
